Abstract
Autism or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a children developmental disorder which symptoms occur before the age of three years, autism clinical manifestations are clinical symptoms that occurs with autism to the society. People of Autistic in Indonesia 80% experience poisoning of heavy metal Pb because of pollution. Heavy metal Pb can give risde interference in children such as decreasing intelligence and
changing behavior for. Adequate intake of vitamins A and C for people with autism because Pro-active Pb
levels can be eliminated with antioxidants. Objectives; to determine the relationship of antioxidant intake
(vitamins A and C) with levels of lead (Pb) in the hair and manifestations of autistic clinics. Method; This
research is observational with cross sectional research design. The Sample was done purposively with a sample
of 63 people and data analysis used Pearson correlation test and spearmen correlation rank. Result; there was
no correlation between vitamin A intake and Pb levels in autistic children's hair obtained p-value (0.394), there
was a correlation between vitamin C intake and Pb levels in autistic children's hair obtained p-value (0.004),
there was no correlation between vitamin A intake and clinical manifestations of autistic children obtained p
value (0.435), there was a correlation between vitamin C intake and clinical manifestations of autistic children
obtained p value is (0.002). Conclusion; It was found that there was a correlation between vitamin C intake and
Lead levels (Pb), clinical manifestations of autistic people and there was no correlation between vitamin A
intake and Lead levels (Pb), clinical manifestations of autistic persons.
