Abstract

Dairi Regency is one of the areas that is vulnerable to landslides. After adisaster
occurs, the majority of the population of victims who experience a disasterwill
have a normal psychological trauma response, around 15-20% of victims will
suffer from moderate/mild mental disorders which lead to Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder and 3-4% of victims will suffer from severe mental disorders. such as
psychosis, severe depression and high anxiety/anxiety. To overcome or eliminate
trauma, Emotional Freedom Technique therapy can be done. This community
service is carried out in the form of counseling and demonstrations regarding
the Emotional Freedom Technique to overcome orrelease trauma or recover from trauma caused by landslides in SiArung-Arung Village, Parbuluan District,
Dairi Regency. The target of the activity is 61 people (aged 17 years to 65 years).
The aim of this Community Service is to increase the community's knowledge
and skills regarding trauma healing "Emotional FreedomTechniques". From the
results of the community service carried out, it can be concludedthat there was
a significant increase in the community's knowledge and skills regarding EFT
therapy before and after the education was carried out. It is hoped that health
workers, especially mental health program holders at the Sigalingging
Community Health Center, will monitor the knowledge and skills of the
community. This activity should be followed up in other disaster-prone areas in
the Sigalingging Community Health Center working area.
