Abstract

The role of eifein the familyis alsoexpected tobe improvedby givingmotivationto the husband tochooseand useeffectivebirth control. Therefore Family Planning (KB) became one of the efforts to suppress the population. One of the efforts that promoted family planning is a contraceptive in men, but the husband's participation in family planning is very low. Husband's low participation in the use of contraceptives Men are caused by many factors, among others, intrinsic factors such as knowledge and attitudes husband husband and extrinsic factors, namely accesstofamily planning servicesand wife attitude. This type of researchisanalytic surveywithexplanatoryapproach. The populationisallspouses of fertile agehusbandwho residesin the village ofSitinjoII DistrictSitinjoDairias many as382people. Samplingwithsimple randomtechniqueas much as79 people. Techniquesofcollecting datathrough interviewsusing a questionnaire. Data were analyzedusing univariate, bivariatewithchi square, multivariatelogistic regressionusing SPSS19. Results ofthis study indicate thatfactorshusbandattitude(p-value 0.026), access tofamily planning services(p-value 0.038), the attitude ofthe wife(p-value 0.034), influenceof thehusband's participationusing contraception, while knowledge(p-value 0.251) ,does notaffect theuseof contraceptiveshusband. The mostinfluencingfactorisaccess tofamily planning services. Advice tohealth workersin the office ofWomen's Empowerment, Child andFamily Planning(PPAKB), health centersand thefield officersin the field,toimprovefamily planning servicesformenonthroughCommunication.The informationandeducation andincreasepartnershipswith professional organizations, community leaders and religious leaders, so expectthese leaderswillparticipatedisseminate information tothe publicand to developfamily planninggroupof menas a communication mediumtoincreasemale participationin family planningandreproductive healthis expected tomake thegroupas a motivatorFamilly Planning.
