The Influence of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors on Husband's Participation Using Contraception in Sitinjo District, Dairi Regency

This type of researchisanalytic surveywithexplanatoryapproach. The populationisallspouses of fertile agehusbandwho residesin the village ofSitinjoII DistrictSitinjoDairias many as382people. Samplingwithsimple randomtechniqueas much as79 people. Techniquesofcollecting datathrough interviewsusing a questionnaire. Data were analyzedusing univariate, bivariatewithchi square, multivariatelogistic regressionusing SPSS19. Results ofthis study indicate thatfactorshusbandattitude(p-value 0.026), access tofamily planning services(p-value 0.038), the attitude ofthe wife(p-value 0.034), influenceof thehusband's participationusing contraception, while knowledge(p-value 0.251) ,does notaffect theuseof contraceptiveshusband.
