SUMMARY OF MIDWIFERY CARE
A midwife must understand the principles of her profession, follow the
code of ethics, and adhere to regulations to provide good and continuous services.
The goal of midwifery care is to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.
The care was provided by attending to Mrs. S. N during her pregnancy and
Mrs. R. S from the labor process through to contraceptive use.
Antenatal care for Mrs. S.N. was conducted eight times without any
serious complaints from the mother or fetus. Labor care for Mrs. R.S. followed
the Normal Delivery Care standards, although some steps were missed. The
postpartum care process for Mrs. R.S. proceeded well. For contraception, Mrs.
R.S. used the withdrawal method after exclusive breastfeeding and later an
implant. The newborn was in good condition, with a successful early initiation of
the breastfeeding process, and newborn care had been provided. During three
neonatal visits, no serious problems were found, and the baby was exclusively
breastfed.
The conclusion drawn from the midwifery care for Mrs. R.M. and Mrs. Y
is that no complications were found in the mothers and their babies.
