SUMMARY OF MIDWIFERY CARE
The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) serves as a key indicator for assessing the success of maternal health efforts. To reduce maternal and infant mortality rates, midwives provide comprehensive midwifery care. The author specifically provided pregnancy and family planning care to Mrs. A.S.
A high-risk pregnancy is defined as one that increases the potential for greater danger and complications for both the mother and her fetus during the periods of pregnancy, childbirth, and the normal puerperium.
The midwifery care during pregnancy for Mrs. A.S was provided over 2 visits, and no complications were found in the mother or baby. Labor care for Mrs. A.S was conducted in accordance with the 60 steps of normal labor care, although some steps were not fully implemented. Postpartum care was carried out over 4 visits, and no difficulties were found in the mother. Neonatal care was given over 3 visits, and no complications were found in the baby. Family Planning (FP) care for Mrs. A.S included the administration of a 3-month contraceptive injection on April 24, 2025.
The conclusion drawn from the care provided to Mrs. A.S was that the process was physiological with no complications. Midwifery care, spanning from pregnancy, labor, postpartum, newborn, and family planning, is expected to be implemented in accordance with established standards.
