SUMMARY OF MIDWIFERY CARE

Third-trimester pregnancy is frequently accompanied by physiological discomforts, one of which is back pain, which if not managed appropriately can affect the pregnant mother's quality of life. Comprehensive, continuous midwifery care (continuity of care) from third-trimester pregnancy, labor, postpartum, newborn care, to family planning is required to ensure that the condition of the mother and infant remains within normal limits and to detect any physiological deviations early. This final project report aims to provide an overview of comprehensive midwifery care for Mrs. M.H. The comprehensive care provided to Mrs. M.H from third-trimester pregnancy through the postpartum period and family planning was documented using Helen Varney's documentation method.
The results of the care showed that Mrs. M. H’s pregnancy proceeded normally over 6 visits in accordance with the 10 T antenatal care standards. Labor proceeded normally without complications referencing the 60 steps of Normal Labor Care, and the baby was born normal without congenital anomalies. Newborn care was provided across 4 visits, postpartum care was conducted across 3 visits, and family planning care was delivered with an implant contraceptive method.
