Edukasi Pemanfaatan Daun Sirih sebagai antseptik Pada Perempuan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Muara Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara

Health development aims to improve public health, including women
throughout Indonesia. In achieving a high degree of health, women as one the
recipients of health services must play a role in maintaining their physical and
psychological health so that they remain healthy throughout their lives.
Physical health is the cleanliness of the genitals as one of the female
reproductive organs which is very important to be maintained. This is certainly
something that the woman herself must strive for so that problems do not
arise in the future such as vaginal discharge and even cervical cancer. The aim
is to increase knowledge and skills on the use of betel leaf as an antiseptic for
women. The method of carrying out data collection activities, planning, and
implementing begins with a pre-test, counseling, and demonstration and ends
with a post-test as an evaluation of the use of betel leaf as an antiseptic for
women. The results of the level of knowledge and skills of women before the
demonstration of knowledge were less than 3 people (6%), both 2 people (4%)
and 45 people (90%). After the demonstration, women's knowledge and skillsincreased, namely 4 people (8%) and 46 (92%). It can be concluded that there
was an increase in knowledge after education.
