SUMMARYOFMIDWIFERYCARE
Midwifery care is the application of the midwife's functions, activities, and
responsibilities in providing services to clients with midwifery needs or problems,
covering pregnancy, labor, postpartum, infant, and family planning periods. The goal is to
include the promotion of maternal and child health and to help reduce maternal and child
mortality rates.
This final project report used a case study method located at the Siborongborong
Community Health Center, Siborongborong Sub-district. The midwifery care provided to
Mrs. W.S. consisted of care during pregnancy, labor, newborn, postpartum, and Family
Planning, using the midwifery management approach and documented with the SOAP
method.
The pregnancy care given to Mrs. W.S. (G1 P0 A0 ) was conducted over 2
visits according to the 10T service standard, and no complications were found. The labor
period was normal, and the mother and baby were in healthy condition. Although the 60
steps of Normal Labor Care could not be implemented systematically, the newborn
successfully received Early Initiation of Breastfeeding, Vitamin K, Hepatitis B (Hb-0)
vaccine, and Exclusive Breastfeeding. The postpartum period progressed normally, and
by the end of the postpartum period, the mother had become an Implant Family Planning
acceptor. Counseling and the schedule for follow-up visits were communicated.
