Background: The process of pregnancy will cause physical and psychological
changes in pregnant women, which often cause discomfort, and are different in
each semester of pregnancy, for example in the third trimester, mothers often
experience cramps in their left hand.
Purpose: to provide midwifery care to Mrs. A, aged 27, since pregnancy,
childbirth, postpartum, newborn and family planning services.
Method: an ongoing midwifery care using the Varney method and documentation
in SOAP format.
Result: during midwifery care it was known that during pregnancy the mother
experienced cramps in her hands but these complaints could be handled properly.
All labor processes took place smoothly and the baby was born spontaneously,
weight: 2,900 grams, length: 47 cm, head circumference: 25 cm. The postpartum
period goes well and smoothly, and the mother chooses the 3-month injection
method as a pregnancy control tool.
Conclusion: The midwifery care provided, from pregnancy to the family planning
program, is in accordance with the standards of care and authority.
