TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU YANG MEMILIKI BALITA STUNTING TENTANG STUNTING PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BERAMPU KECAMATAN BERAMPU KABUPATEN DAIRI TAHUN 2023

Toddler is an important period in the growth and development of a child, called the Golden Age, but it is an age group that is prone to nutritional problems. Stunting is a growth problem in children where the height is lower than their peers. Purpose: This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of mothers with stunted toddlers about stunting in toddlers in the Working Area of the Berampu Health Center, Berampu District, Dairi Regency. Methodology: This research is a descriptive survey study that describes something that happens in society. Respondents in this study were mothers who had stunted toddlers in the Working Area of the Berampu Health Center. 44 samples were determined through total sampling technique. Results: Based on the results of the study, the majority of respondents were aged between 31-40 years, 26 people (59.09%) and a minority aged between 41-50 years, 2 people (4.54%); Based on education, the majority had upper level education in 20 people (45.4%) and a minority had a bachelor's level education in 2 people (4.5%); based on occupation, the majority are farmers with 39 people (88.6%) and a minority are housewives with 2 people (4.5%); based on knowledge, the majority of respondents are well knowledgeable in 16 people (36.36), with fair knowledge are 14 people (31.81) and with poor knowledge are 14 people (31.81). Suggestion: It is hoped that nurses will increase mother's knowledge through promotional and educational activities about stunted toddler care and supplementary food.
